The Opportunity:
As a contracting SME, you will use your deep understanding and knowledge to help manage critical acquisition and contracting documentation. We need you to bring your advanced contract management expertise to our DoD team where you’ll be a trusted advisor and a valuable team member who finds creative solutions to complex problems. As a contracting SME on our team, you’ll use your contracting regulations, options, and knowledge, coupled with strong negotiating ability and strategies to assist with informing, developing, and implementing innovative and efficient contracting strategies to ensure program effectiveness. In this role, you’ll support many aspects of government acquisition, from beginning stages to completion. As a contracting SME on our team, you’ll provide expertise in identifying potential challenges and help prevent and remedy IP related contracting challenges. Using your knowledge in identifying IP and data rights challenges, you’ll help coordinate efforts, analysis, and training to ensure long-lasting acquisition objectives are realized.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with supporting DoD acquisition programs
- Experience with serving in a contracts focused role, including in a DoD acquisition program, PEO, or Service- or OSD-level acquisition office
- Experience with developing and drafting contracts and acquisition documentation
- Experience with intellectual property and data rights challenges and considerations during a program’s acquisition lifecycle
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with the implementation of DoD acquisition and innovative contracting approaches and processes
- Experience with multiple contracting types or approaches, including OTA, BPA, or IDIQ
- Experience as an OSD staff action officer, including developing, coordinating, and publishing issuances and department-level policies, and facilitating OSD correspondence and task management
- Experience with facilitating Senior Level meetings in-person and in a virtual environment
- Ability to engage with key stakeholders on course and curriculum development for the acquisition workforce community
