We are currently seeking a full-time HR Consultant - Compensation Analyst to join our HR Consulting team. In this role, you will assist clients across various industries, offering valuable insights and solutions to meet their compensation needs.
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for conducting market compensation and client data analysis to assist and inform the design and implementation of various compensation programs, including providing observations and recommendations. Ultimately these programs enhance a clients’ ability to attract and retain talent. Utilizing strong analysis, as well as an understanding of market trends and best practices, the Compensation Analyst works closely with other team members and clients to ensure compensation strategies are competitive and aligned with the client’s goals.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Review and analyze job descriptions to effectively conduct market research and competitive analysis to ensure compensation programs are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

Conduct analysis of client information as compared to competitive data to provide observations and recommendations.

Create detailed, logical, equitable implementation strategies for clients to address any pay gaps; communicate with clients, as applicable.

Create and/or provide recommendations for effective salary structures.

Create salary administration guidelines, as applicable, based on client programs and structure.

Conduct job evaluations and analysis to determine appropriate compensation based on client’s internal equity and external (market) competition.

Develop job descriptions when necessary and educate clients (and colleagues) on same

Prepare compensation reports to provide clients with insight and clarity regarding data.

Assist in the design of performance-based compensation programs and reward strategies.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.

Provide expert advice and support regarding compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.

Work collaboratively with other Herbein HR Consultants to ensure integrated and cohesive client solutions.

Understand HR Information Systems and effective use in the context of compensation.

Work within specified project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Additional Details:
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant work experience with a focus on business, business administration, or human resources preferred.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills.

Advanced proficiency in Excel; compensation management software knowledge is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision and prioritize work/timelines/projects.

Solid understanding of the way that compensation fits into the broader context of human capital management.

Ability to effectively interact with clients and co-workers to gather information and clarify deliverables.

Strong listening and questioning skills.

Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities.

Previous experience with data analysis.
