The Pre-Admission Coordinator Registered Nurse- Surgery Center is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the pre-admission process for patients scheduled for surgery. The coordinator will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient pre-admission process.
- Coordinate and facilitate the pre-admission process for patients scheduled for surgery
- Obtain and review patient medical history and ensure all necessary pre-operative tests and procedures are completed
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient pre-admission process
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed and accurate
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the pre-admission process
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for the procedure
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field preferred
- Must be a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a surgical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements related to surgery centers
