Responsibility for the following areas:

Ensure all cutting equipment is running in a safe state (laser, punch, shear, etc).

Monitor and maintain all consumables for the machines (lens, nozzles, etc)
-
Ensure PMs are done daily, weekly, monthly on all cutting equipment.

Ensure schedules are followed by the cutting staff.
-
Ensure the cutting area has proper measurement tools in place and is actively validating parts.
-
Keep cutting equipment clean and orderly. Machines should be wiped down on a weekly basis.

Complete and maintain paperwork for parts, logging accurate record keeping information.

Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use measuring tools.

Operate forklift as necessary.

Trouble shoot poor cut quality and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal cut quality on all materials.

Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Master the use of our ERP system to ensure you are nesting to the most accurate demand. (Use autogen and create multipart work orders)

Create nest to maximize sheet size of at least 80%. Create a REM part number for anything that exceeds 30”L x Width of the sheet.

Ensure routing steps and BOM are accurate.

Further programming tasks include brake and folding machine programs. This includes the necessity to have in-depth knowledge of the tooling we have at the brakes and folding machine.

From an inventory standpoint, it’s important that the correct BINs are being pulled from and managed.
Qualification:
-
Experience running CO2 laser, punches, brake, preferably late model Amada, but not required with knowledge of machine settings and beam focal point.

Familiarity with beam alignment procedure and CNC programs.
-
Material Management experience.
-
Basic understanding of assist gas.
-
Understand different material types and gauges.
