Hotel front desk employees are responsible for making sure guests have a pleasant experience at a hotel. This typically involves checking in and out guests, taking reservations, and answering any questions the guests may have.
Responsibilities for Front Desk Agent
- Check guests in and out of their rooms
- Answer any questions guests have
- Make recommendations for activities and restaurants
- Store any luggage guests have
- Answer the phone and direct the call
- Take reservations on the phone
- Arrange transportation for guests
- Maintain the record of guests that have checked in and out
- Maintain proper record of all transactions
Qualifications for Front Desk Agent
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Amazing interpersonal abilities
- Top-of-the-line organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Amazing time management skills
- A degree in hotel management is preferred
- Incredibly detail oriented
- Able to work nights and weekends
- Previous Hotel Experience Preferred
- Cash Handling
- Bi-Lingual Preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Work setting:
Experience:
- Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Required)
