Coastal medical group is looking for a Nurse Practitioner / APRN to join our group.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) position functions as a licensed registered nurse and provides all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment and consultation while maintaining and promoting the health of the patient. This position may work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and performs according to the nurse practice act of the State of Texas and as part of a treatment team. The NP position role models compassionate communication with patients, physicians and the interprofessional health care team. The NP position provides education to patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. This position may also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's healthcare provider, prescribing medications as appropriate.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Provide general and preventative care. Conduct check ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medications for adults.
- Educate patients about preventative care.
- Manage patients who do not require complex medical management.
- Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of the patient.
- Tasks registered.
- Complete charting and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Active participation in the development/review of office policies and
- Promotes a safety – conscious work force
- Performs other duties as required for the Supervising Physician.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
- A current license as a registered Nurse Practitioner.
- Graduation with a Master’s Degree from an accredited University
- Licensure as a APRN with a graduation from an accredited education program and successfully passing a certification from AANP or ANCC.
- Proven excellent Quality and clinical standards
- CPR
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
- Able to communicate in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills with providers, staff, management, patients and pharmaceutical companies.
SKILLS :
- Strong Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to be objective in investigations and personnel issues.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
