SLPA Job Description
Implement speech-language pathology services under the direction of a SLP supervisor for individuals who have a variety of communication impairments, including but not limited to articulation, fluency, language, and pragmatic.
ESSENTIAL SLPA FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THE DIRECTION OF AN SLP
- Demonstrate knowledge of commonly occurring communication disorders
- Work in accordance with supervisors within scope of practice of a SLPA, Ridge Zeller Therapy policies/procedures, and Arizona/federal regulations/guidelines
- Manage time effectively to complete paperwork and therapy within the required timelines
- Demonstrate a team-oriented approach
- Exhibit professional and friendly interaction with students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborate and be flexible when working with colleagues and families
- Represent Ridge Zeller Therapy in the highest professional manner whenever working within the school
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times
- Implement feedback from supervisor
- Maintain records
- Adhere to established rules, regulations, laws, and appropriate ethical standards

- Constantly ascending/descending, pushing/pulling in seated and on-the-floor therapy exercises

- Constantly operates a computer and other office machines, such as copy machine, laminator, and printer
- Shared Workspace
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively in a small workspace
- Communicate, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express Oneself, Exchange information
- The person in this position frequently communicates with staff regarding client therapy
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove
- Frequently moves therapy supplies weighing up to 25 pounds into the workroom onto shelves or storage space
