Job Summary:
The Primary Counselor is responsible for case management of clients, ages 18+ to break the cycle of addiction and return to their families and communities from a place of resilience.
Responsibilities Include:

Completion of intake after pre-assessment.

Developing individualized service and treatment plans.

Presenting clients in treatment team meetings.

Maintaining contact with appropriate individuals.

Supporting discharge and referral planning.

Conducting didactic lectures, client groups, and other therapeutic activities.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS

Master's degree in human services field or equivalent years working in addiction treatment

Virginia state license required: LPC, LCSW, LSATP, LMFT
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of one-year experience working in a human service/substance abuse treatment setting.

Familiarity with 12-step recovery programs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Experience with an electronic medical record system Individual and group counseling

Documentation skills

De-escalation skills

Verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Part time; 20 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:00-9:30pm and Tuesday 4:00-7:30pm, evenings, some holidays.
