Gallagher has an industry leading internship and early career program. Our intern program has over 55 years of history and tremendous leadership involvement. Can you help take it to the next level? Here's your chance to support university relations activity and program development in the US.
Reporting to the Early Talent Operations Manager, the Early Talent Specialist will partner with AJG's cross-divisional teams to deliver our National Summer Internship Program and various new-hire development programs. You will leverage sourcing strategies to ensure talent profiles are marketed with a clear, compelling voice and handle intern communications plans for program stakeholders and business leaders. You will also help to further development and utilization of our employer value proposition.
How you'll make an impact:
- Support development and execution of strategic communications plans across development and talent acquisition programs. Create visual and written content for internal and external channels (newsletters, program materials, digital and social media, video, etc.)

Design and curate external candidate sourcing and keep warm strategy for talent acquisition using vendor tools & technology

Organize and support training program logistics and new hire communications (conference registration, logistical newsletters, email campaigns and follow up messages, collateral)

Maintain intranet website with program materials, updates and key messaging (Sharepoint) and external careers page with video testimonials, program promotion and digital content (iCIMS)

Support Global Employer Value Proposition activation across Early Talent Programs incorporating external material and brand messaging and internal resources

Support internal business partners on communications strategy as project manager for feedback campaigns, education campaigns and cross-functional change initiatives

Implementing program satisfaction and performance surveys to evaluate stakeholder perception; Summarize key findings and preparing reports on results

Measure results and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and tactics to drive improvements

Support execution of training conferences and events across Early Talent programs
About you:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree; No related experience required.

Strong MS Office skills.
Highly Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or closely related field required
-
Able to travel up to 15% within the US (if located outside of Chicagoland)
-
Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in communications, media relations, marketing, human resources, learning & development, or event coordination

Excellent interpersonal, and communications skills; ability to develop relationships both internally and externally.

Strong focus on client experience. Demonstrate understanding of how storytelling can efficiently connect and engage an audience.

Shown ability to write in various styles including organizational communications, storytelling, and promotional writing.

Ability to perform in a high visibility team environment – efficiently multitask and handle opposing projects, high attention to detail across all communications,strong individual contributor with sense of initiative

Proficiency in PC applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with social media and digital technology skills
-
A strong passion for developing an early talent career pipeline
