The Technical Representative is responsible for overseeing the correct application and installation of roofing products and systems across various projects. This position serves as the principal technical liaison, ensuring that all specifications and quality standards are met in accordance with industry regulations and manufacturer's guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting onsite inspections, providing technical support in the field, preparing and updating technical specifications, training installers, and collaborating with the Sales Department to optimize the market placement of products and service provided to customers. The role requires high mobility with frequent trips to project sites across Puerto Rico, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Representation: Act as a technical contact regarding the use, application, and installation of Danosa's manufactured and distributed products and systems, ensuring adherence to technical specifications.
- Technical Specifications Review: Maintain and update technical specifications of products and systems according to the design and construction industry standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure the proper use of each product and system according to its design and intended purpose, overseeing its implementation in the field.
- Sales Support: Work closely with the Sales Department and Management in technical efforts for the sale and distribution of products.
- Training and Development: Prepare and deliver installation seminars, training on products and systems to various professional groups.
- Quotations and Monitoring: Prepare and monitor quotations based on plans or available information, supporting contractors in project estimation.
- Installer Certification: Support and guide in the certification and admission of installers and roofing contractors.
- Warranty Management: Maintain and improve the policies of the warranty program.
- Professional Development: Continue educational training by attending talks, seminars, and symposiums relevant to roofing, construction, design, as well as administrative and personnel areas.
- Departmental Support: Actively participate in all department activities, including services, inspections, and installations.
- Project Supervision: Oversee construction projects in which the company acts as a contractor-installer, ensuring quality and compliance with standards and budgeting.
- Field Inspections: Maintain an optimal level of project inspection visits during and at the end of projects to ensure quality and compliance.
- Interpersonal Relations: Supervise and foster a good working environment within the Technical Department team.
- Management Meetings: Participate in management team meetings and other meetings called by the President to align department strategies and operations.
