Billing Coordinator at Pediatric Foot and Ankle/Preferred Foot and Ankle is responsible for reviewing and submitting insurance claims, posting of insurance and patient payments , research, and resolution of outstanding insurance claims and patient balances. This includes re-billing insurances.
Interacts with all levels of personnel and leadership, maintains, and ensures confidentiality of patient financial information. Verifying insurance for patients, making sure patients have correct referral and authorizations.
Mandatory: 1 year Scheduling/Verifications/Billing experience in a Medical Office
Training will be at our Chandler Location 30 S. Kyrene Rd #3 Chandler, AZ 85226
Hours are M-F from 8am-5pm with an hour lunch break.

Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits and managed care contracts
- Effectively communicate verification/balances and information both internally and externally to ensure that coverage is in place and claims are paying accurately.
- Act as a resource for insurance-related questions and needs, as a subject-matter expert and specialist in their field.
- Process all incoming EOB/posting insurance payments and finalizing claims within our system.
- Talk to patients about cost of patient care/in office procedures and balances on accounts.
- Ensure all patient records are accurate, complete, compliant, current, and managed.
- Follow up on claims, submits corrected claims/appeals when necessary.
- Posting insurance payments accurately.
- Assisting with accounts receivable and billing as necessary.
- Demonstrates ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish all tasks despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
- Help with insurance coordination, verifying insurance/ensuring patients insurance is active
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Billing experience in a Medical Practice
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate to both team members & patients
- Excellent organizational skills (multi-tasking, prioritizing and following up)
- Demonstration of teamwork and initiative to get the job done
- Ability to apply common sense, understanding, and problem solving to daily activities
- Pediatric Foot & Ankle is a Drug Free Environment and applicants will require a drug test
