A Brief Overview:
The purpose of this job is to provide assessment and treatment interventions to adolescents and adults and their families who are referred to ENH Medical Group in the Memory Assessment Program; to apply knowledge and methods from all substantive fields of social work to the promotion and maintenance of physical and mental health of the individual; and to adhere to the Department's standards for quality of care, research and education.
What you will do:
- Knowledge and application of NorthShore policies and procedures that apply to job and area of responsibility.
- knowledge and demonstration of customer service standards
- knowledge of and compliance with federal, state and local laws that apply to the job's area of responsibility
- knowledge of and compliance with policies and procedures that apply to the job and area of responsibility
- ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as workshops, in-service programs and departmental meetings
- provide service based on physical, psychological, educational and related criteria, appropriate to the age and type of the patients/customers served in their area
- Provide assessment and treatment of out-patients referred to MG - Psychiatry.
- Treatment modalities include individual, marital, group and family psychotherapy. Diagnostic modalities may include psychological, psycho-educational and vocational assessment.
- Consultation to institutions, schools and industry regarding treatment plans and patient needs.
- Prepare written reports and treatment plans; complete patient charts and treatment summaries on all referred patients
- Participate in interdisciplinary staffing, when indicated
- Completes and adheres to all credentialing/privileging requirement and guidelines, peer reviews, quality assurance guidelines and all practice directives as directed by the Chairman, Department of Psychiatry and Head, Division of Psychology, Medical Group
What you will need:
- Master's Degree of social work from an accredited college or university Required
- 2 Years Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in the field of social work
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skill not only in relationship to individual patients and their families, but the interdisciplinary staff as well.
- Must be firmly rooted in professional knowledge of social work, as well as have the flexibility to work with the professionals of other disciplines in order to carry out these functions effectively.
