The Supervising Pharmacist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day pharmacy operations of 13th Avenue Pharmacy including participating in the workflow, customer service, compliance, stakeholder (patients, physicians, community) communication and education, etc. The Supervising Pharmacist works 40-45 hours per week, on average.
Working knowledge of community pharmacy practice including legal, regulatory and contractual obligations, quality assurance, clinical skills, supervision, reimbursement components, a passion to contribute to the lives of our patients with excellent customer service, superb pharmaceutical knowledge/clinical skills, provision of education and keen oversight of the medication regimen and adherence issues to achieve the optimal outcomes is a must.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare prescriptions as part of the workflow process.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians and clerks.
- Ensure compliance with all Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility for pharmacy.
- Ensure that each customer (patients, physicians, employees, etc.) is treated with respect and compassion.
Candidate Requirements
The qualified candidate must be a New York licensed pharmacist, ideally with experience as a Supervising Pharmacist. Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is helpful. New graduates with pharmacy experience are welcome to apply.
