SCC Early Childhood Centers has served the community since 1987, providing crucial high-quality care and education to children from Birth-12 years of age. ID or minimum age requirements or minimum credentials required prior to employment as an Early Childhood Teacher:1. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and hold an associate degree (Lead) or bachelor's degree (Master) in early childhood education (or equivalent). Master teacher and lead teacher candidates must also have (or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire), at least a level 3 credential (relevant to the age group for which they will be hired).
3. Prior to employment, candidates must possess or provide evidence of completion of:
Gateways Level 1 ECE credential (candidates who already possess a Level 3 (or higher) Infant/Toddler or ECE credential are considered as having that this requirement)
SIDS and shaken baby syndrome training, mandated reporter training
Transportation/parking options
SCC is conveniently located 3 blocks away from the Oakton-Skokie station of the Yellow Line, A 10 minute ride from the Howard Street El station. Both campuses are also located directly on the #97 bus route.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
