Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Violet Rooster is a busy breakfast & lunch restaurant that's open daily from 7:00am to 2:00pm. We are a family owned restaurant that strives to be friendly, upbeat, energetic, and positive everyday - to our guests and our associates.
We are looking for a Dishwasher/Prep cook to assist our team from approximately 8:30am to 4:00pm, 4 to 5 days per week. In this position you will have dishwasher responsibilities but will also assist with food prep.
Also, if you are interested, we would want to train you to be a line cook.
Dishwasher/Prep Cooks starting at $18.00 per hour

Work Responsibilities -
- Maintain a clean kitchen, properly wash and sort soiled dishes. Keep dish area free of clutter and organized.
- Properly wash and stack/store, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
- Check that machines are dispensing correctly and change water in sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly use chemicals.
- Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries.
- Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chefs as needed.
Work Requirements -
- Have strong work ethic
- Be self-motivated and have a high energy level
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Must be available on weekends
- Must be used to working in a fast paced environment
