MATERIALS MANAGER
The PLASTEK GROUPheadquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania is a world class manufacturer of plastic products for the consumer packaging, food and beverage and medical industries. The Plastek Group has additional locations in North Carolina, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Mexico. The Company is seeking a Materials Manager for one of its Erie Pennsylvania locations. The positions will be responsible for the following duties;
· Divisional warehouse- Direct and monitor divisional warehousing functions. Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
· Customer service -Direct and monitor customer service activities to insure superior customer service. Insure customers issues and needs are communicated to the organization, and customer issues are resolved in a timely manner.
· Production scheduling -Direct production scheduling to insure effective & efficient productive work flow and to achieve customer commitments.
· Materials management - Establish and maintain work in process and finish goods inventory levels. Establish safety stock requirements for raw materials and finish goods. Maintain and control product bills of material (BOMs) and routers.
· Manage- departmental supervisors and functional professionals.
· Coordinate- with other departmental managers on daily activities, continuous improvement, and problem resolution.
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 5+ years related experience.
