Description:
Under limited supervision the employee will be the primary managerial assistant to all aspects for Campus Housing administration and employee operations as directed by the supervisors. Ensure housing and administrative policies are in line with regulations, and best practices. Works to improve employment programs to affect the quality of the residential experience. Ensure the department's residential student employment procedures are in alignment with best practices. Supervise 3 Housing Officers in charge of front desk operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Facilities, Administration and Residence Life all hiring needs throughout the academic cycles and coordinate the student employment selection process and transaction of employment paperwork, compliance, and housing policies.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and selection, and termination of student employees.
- Monitor and track key inventory of Campus Housing.
- Oversee the supervision, best practices, scheduling, training, and operations, including key inventories of 3 housing area’s front desk operations: including the supervision of 3 housing officers.
- Monitor and track payroll of all campus housing student employees and federal work-study balance data.
- Standardize and implement training curriculum, manuals, staff in-services, and professional development programs for all housing student staff employees, administrators, supervisors, and support staff under the direction of the Assistant Director.
- Coordinate and complete several activities simultaneously, recommend changes in housing operations, policies, and procedures.
- Create and maintain on-boarding process for all housing employees.
- Represent the university to internal and external audiences.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
2. Any combination totaling six years from the following categories:
A. Housing, residential life, hospitality, business, or closely related work experiences.
B. College course work in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Hospitality Sciences, Business Sciences, Social or Behavioral Sciences, and/or related disciplines, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals six (6) months

60 semester hours or Associate's Degree equals one (1) year
-
90 semester hours equals two (2) years
-
120 semester hours or Bachelor’s Degree equals three (3) years
-
Master's Degree or higher equals four (4) years
