Job Summary
We are a workers' compensation firm specializing in Pro Sports Retirement and Public Safety, seeking a skilled and dedicated Accounting/Personal Assistant to manage the financial responsibilities of both our firm and our CEO. This is a Part Time, in-house position; we are not looking for independent contractors. Candidates with experience in workers' compensation or law offices are preferred.
General Accounting Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update all financial records using QuickBooks.
- Prepare and analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for all relevant accounts.
- Start and manage the bookkeeping process to ensure accurate and timely records.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and accuracy.
Business Accounting/Financial Responsibilities:
- Manage mortgages, expenses, taxes, and insurances for the firm.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and sustainability.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial planning.
Personal Financial Responsibilities:
- Manage personal finances, including investments, mortgages, and insurances for the CEO.
- Prepare personal financial statements and reports.
- Handle tax planning and preparation for the CEO.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all personal financial information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on QuickBooks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
