JAG Healthcare Marion & Harding are looking for a Registered Dietitian to add to our team! This is a full time position with flexible scheduling working with both facilities to meet their dietary needs. Although scheduling is flexible you must be able to attend scheduled care conferences which vary for each facility. Applicants must be team-oriented, dependable, have strong communication skills, and comfortable working with both traditional skilled nursing and rehabilitation and cognitive deficit care models.

Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to)
- Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
- Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.
- Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.
- Review and approve menus developed by the facility.
- Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
- Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients.
- Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as per the county, state and federal guidelines.
- Attend scheduled care conferences which vary for each facility.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Planning & Organizing
- Exceptional Communication Skills
- Long term care experience is required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.
- Certified ServSafe Food Protection
- Registered Dietitian
