Job Summary:
This role is chiefly responsible for working with the Business Development Manager to share with the public what services Meridian has to offer. This individual’s primary responsibility is to grow the business. This will be achieved through direct sales efforts with a focus on helping as many people as we can. Other responsibilities include broadcasting Meridian’s name, developing referral sources, and increasing referrals to Meridian. Additionally, the Sales Manager will uncover and work with management to identify new business opportunities in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Making a minimum of 8-10 in person, face-to-face calls each day.
- Attending senior focused networking meetings
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
- Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners’ needs and goals.
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Identifying new opportunities for business growth
- Consistently growing business through an increase in number of referrals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or experience in field equivalent to degree.
- Minimum of 1 year previous consultative sales experience (in health care or related field) preferred
- Valid drivers’ license and proof of insurance required
- Ability to interface effectively with professionals in a variety of industries (finance, legal, health care,
- etc.)
- Ability to travel locally to meet with professional referral sources
- Basic computer knowledge, data entry, and word processing
- Ability to be self-directing
- Ability to demonstrate value for the organization

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
