Job Summary
Coordinate activities with Shipping & Receiving Manager regarding the transportation and delivery of finish metal components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of meeting the customers' (internal or external) delivery expectations.
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
Summary of Essential Job Functions

Load and/or unload incoming/outgoing materials.

Set-up expedites for shipment to customer base as needed.

Coordinate the transportation of parts to/from various TTD locations due to Hot Loads or Sorting activity.

Prepare necessary documentation, such as bill of lading, and/or shipping orders to route materials.

Examine contents and compare records, such as manifest, invoices or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operators or productions goals.

Review orders, production schedules, shipping or receiving notices to determine work sequences and material shipping dates, types, volumes, or destinations.

Inspect or test materials, stock, vehicles, equipment, or facilities to ensure that they are safe, free of defects, and consistent with specifications.

Coordinate forklift and Raymond repairs with respective vendors in a timely fashion.

Train and/or retrain operators in the proper use of material handling equipment, such as a forklift or Raymond Lift.

Resolve worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolution.

Recommend personal actions, such as employee selections, evaluation. rewards, or disciplinary actions.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Capable of performing all duties of a Material Handler or Dock Auditor.

Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.

Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
-
A high school diploma or equivalent.

Prefer one (1) or more years of progressive experience in Shipping & Receiving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is needed for this occupation. Preferably with an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment.

Prefer one (1) year of experience in operating various Material Handling equipment, such as forklift, crane, etc.

Valid drivers’ license and be insurable by company’s insurance carrier.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PLEX Software

Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job.

Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
