Position Overview
We have a wonderful Full-Time opportunity to join our Legends Recovery Centers Admissions team as the Admissions Coordinator.
The Admission Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating pre-admission screens, Verification of Benefits, and reporting to Director of Admissions. The Admissions Coordinator is also responsible for arranging transportation when needed and ensuring all referral sources are contacted at the time of admission. The position has a responsibility to communicate with potential clients and facilitate them through the admission process.

Position Responsibilities
- Conducts pre-screening assessments and verifies all insurance information.
- Handles all aspects of the patient’s admission to Legends Recovery Centers.
- Active member of the treatment team.
- Orientate the patient to Legends Recovery Centers on admission.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with 42CFR, Part 2.
- Protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with Legends Recovery Centers’s privacy policies,
- procedures, and practices, as required by Federal and State law, and in accordance with the general principle of professionalism as a health care provider.
- May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. May only share such information with those who have a need-to-know specific patient information to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Legends Recovery Centers operations.
- Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding Legends Recovery Centers policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
- Maintain a respectful relationship with patients.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times, displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with Legends Recovery Centers staff and consumers alike.
- Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.
- Adhere to Confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2.
- Multi- tasks with attention to detail.
- Must have ability to interact with staff and patients in a professional manner.
- Ability to coordinate and manage.
- Have the ability to communicate with the Case Manager and assist in ensuring the safety of the patient.

Position Requirements
Competencies
- Knowledge of addictions.
- Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
- Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program. Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
- Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes:
- Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual.
- Alcohol and addictive drugs and their impact on the family.
- Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including: Confidentiality, Patient Rights, Professional Code of Ethics, Discrimination.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description, which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.) and Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
Education & Work Experience
- High-School Diploma/GED or degree preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in a related field detox setting and insurance process preferred.
Schedule
· Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: 12pm-8pm
· Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 10am-8pm
Pay
· $20-$23/hour based on experience
