Front Office / Procurement Manager
Effectively and consistently communicate directly with clients and prospects throughout the customer and project lifecycle. Help build strong client relationships from initial contact through project closure and assist in the cultivation of repeat business. Responsible for front and back-office activities to include preparation of proposals/estimates, maintaining client files and business records, ordering and tracking parts, and coordinating client visits and the company’s participation in events.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Activities
o Answering customer/prospect inquiries (phone, email, in-person)
o Document client communications and maintain files
o Monitor parts requests and establish priorities with staff and management
o All purchasing activities to include placing and tracking parts orders
o Maintain existing vendor relationships and identify new opportunities
o Track and follow-up on leads and perform initial qualification
o Assist with project status reporting
o Shipping/receiving of parts
- Operations
o Communicate directly with staff at all levels on issues and priorities
o Work with technicians and management to identify parts requirements
o Maintain shop supplies and project inventory
o Purchase parts and provide consolidated tracking by job as received
o Establish basic expenditure forecast for parts purchasing and share with Director of Finance
o Assist in the development of proposals and estimates (MS-Word)
- Other
o Attend classic car events and professionally represent the company
o Participate and contribute to process improvement initiatives
o Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years working in a similar role or strong automotive mechanical knowledge with demonstrated ability to translate skills to administrative position
- Excellent communication skills
- Hands on knowledge of automobile components and their function
- Must be proactive, self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills to include MS-Office (Excel, Word)
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Must be a team player
- Satisfactory completion of a background check required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
