The role of the Corporate Security Associate is to maintain the security and safety of the Belk home office associates, contractors, vendors, visitors and other tenants. This position is non-exempt. This is an on-site position at the home office in Charlotte, NC.
Job Description

Enforce all security and safety regulations. Perform audits or inspections as requested and required.
Maintain a first aid/CPR certification and able to provide basic aid to injured persons.
Maintain a constant mobile patrol of the home office buildings and grounds as well as tenant spaces.
Monitor all alarm systems in the home office (fire, security, environmental and safety) and respond according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor all CCTV cameras in the home office and dispatch patrolling officer(s) as required.
Maintain an up-to-date, timely and informative radio/telephone log as well as other security logs and reports.
Investigate and report, in writing, all unusual occurrences or events.
Issue, control and file associate and tenant access cards and information.
Enter and retrieve information from security computers.
Lock and unlock doors as requested.
Provide security escort to staff, contractors, vendors, and visitors as requested.
Coordinate firefighting and/or evacuation plans and protocols.
Provide effective entrance/exit controls to ensure compliance with established access badge controls.
Assist in crowd control and direction.
Assist with associates, visitors, and guests at the home office.
Assist with additional duties as requested.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to multi-task
Strong oral communication and observation skills
Valid driver's license
Ability to comprehend policies/procedures and communicate to associates, tenants and visitors.
Ability to work rotating shifts as directed including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge / Skills Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and withstand adverse weather conditions
Ability to operate and drive company vehicles
Ability to utilize keys and manipulate various locks.
Ability to operate standard phone, computer, calculator and other business machines
Ability to perform some lifting (25-50 lbs.)
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds and work at heights
Ability to operate communications, photographic, and video equipment
