ABOUT THE PROGRAMCloverdale Preschool (est. 1954) is a mixed-age, play-based preschool with the focus being on social and emotional development. Through a meaningful blend of hands-on experiences, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment, rich in sensory-based experiences that promote confidence through play and social interactions. Children are actively supported as they negotiate their similarities and differences using a curriculum designed to emphasize social responsibility within their world.
ABOUT THE POSITIONWe are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, creative teacher to join a collaborative team in a great work environment beginning in September 2024. The position is full-time offering at least 32 hours per week but will consider part-time. School year hours run from 8:15-3:45. Teachers cover various shifts between the hours of 8:00-4:00/4:15 from the last week of August through the third week of June.
Salary depends on level of education and work experience. The range is from $18.00-$22.00 per hour. Benefits include paid breaks, paid snow days, 3 weeks of paid vacation, and paid sick time (reimbursement for unused hours at the end of the year).KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESRequired Skills: Lead Teacher certification through the MA Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC)Experience working with children ages 3-5, including problem-solving and conflict resolutionExperience planning a play-based preschool curriculum, including (but not limited to) art, literacy, dramatic play, motor and sensory play, and STEAM activitiesAbility to calmly respond to conflicts and challenging behaviorsCollaborative and team-orientedStrong work ethicExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferences: Degree in Early Childhood EducationVaccinated for COVID-19.
