ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer and Sales Associate to do purchasing and sales for Little Richard’s Toy Store in a partnership with an experience team member. This entails managing the day-to-day operations as shift lead, the buying process for assigned departments, administrative functions, involvement in support staff hiring, training and oversite, and marketing interface.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Retail buying and management experience
· Excellent organizational and administrative skills
· Visual merchandising experience or design background
· Proven management and leadership abilities
· Is a positive team member with an open, supportive approach to leadership
· Strong communication skills with transparency
· Must enjoy working with children and parents
· Knowledge of the toy industry
· Must be able to work any hours of store operation between 30 and 40 hours per week, and be available as needed for unusual circumstances.
· Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. upstairs, to climb ladders and use basic tools for assembling displays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversees and performs the day-to-day operations of the Toy Store as shift lead and store partner.
· Manages the buying process from beginning to end point for assigned departments, including on-going and seasonal analysis and planning for buying with monthly, seasonal and annual budgeting
· Involved in support staff hiring, training and oversight. Leads with a positive, collaborative style.
· Provides exemplary customer service on the sales floor and at the service counter that is warm and welcoming.
· Maintains active, ongoing learning of all functions of the departments and roles of Retail Operations. Maintains strong communication with Team and Management
· Plans marketing submissions for highlighting of products, in partnership with the other Associate Buyer and Marketing Director
· Plans, executes and maintains store-wide displays
· Physical and digital inventory management, including planning and conducting annual inventory under the direction of Management
· Over-site and performance of administration, including full paper trail management from purchase order creation to invoicing, while maintaining established administrative systems for assigned departments
· Maintains relationships with sales reps and attends trade shows.
· Works needed hours and steps in under unusual circumstances

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 39 per week
