Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Shipping Coordinator to manage and oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that our beautiful jewelry reaches our customers promptly and in perfect condition. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipping operations, including order processing, packing, shipping, and record keeping.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and shipments
- Inspect and verify incoming/outgoing goods against invoices or other documents
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately packed and labeled according to company standards and shipping regulations.
- Coordinate with carriers and couriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and communicate status updates to internal teams.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipping activities using spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with production and customer service teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Handle any shipping-related issues, such as lost or damaged packages, with professionalism and efficiency.
- Optimize shipping processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably in a small business or retail/e-commerce environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Google Suite, Googe Sheets, and shipping software and tools (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS). Shopify DZSCO experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift and move packages as required.
