Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in restaurant or catering kitchens, possess strong food handling skills, and be knowledgeable in food safety practices.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods including French fries, chicken tenders, fish, and other menu items
- Ensure that all food products are cooked and served according to the restaurant's recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fry station and kitchen area
- Monitor inventory levels of frying ingredients and inform the supervisor of any shortages
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations during food preparation and cooking processes
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Fry Cook or similar role in a culinary environment
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, grills, and ovens
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience in meal preparation and following recipes accurately
Preferred Skills:
- Culinary background
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or kitchen setting
- Understanding of dietary aide responsibilities in meal preparation
- Proficiency in food handling techniques and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
