Responsibilities:
-Answering phones and taking/relaying messages
Assist representatives and paralegals with legal case management and administrative tasks
- Conduct research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare and draft documents
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, Social Security staff etc.
- Assist in hearing preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing claims etc.
- Manage calendars and deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred
- Proficiency in document management software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of legal case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of basic legal concepts and terminology
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Please note that this is not an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with prior experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role or admin.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
