PAY RATE: $16.00/hr.
BENEFITS: Retirement through the Florida Retirement System.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides general care and oversight of grounds, facilities, and public usage. Performs labor functions as required. Assists and is supplemental to full-time staff. Must meet the demands of a flexible work schedule.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conducts and assists with activities, special programs, and sport leagues. Perform routine tasks: (i.e. maintenance work, litter control, office work, equipment issuance, facility care & oversight, and collection of fees.) Maintains discipline and encourages public compliance to safety rules and regulations. Carries out written and oral assignments. Properly operates motorized vehicles and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to effectively lead participants and work with other in a cooperative manner.

Ability to clearly express ideas to groups or individuals.

Ability to follow and carry out oral and written instructions.

Ability to learn and develop skills in recreational activity leadership, and in the care and operation of facilities.

Ability to lift, carry, and handle filled trash receptacles.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods through uneven terrain, during inclement weather, and or during daylight (sun) or evening hours.

Ability to bend and stoop on a regular basis.

Ability to provide oversight of the grounds by use of golf cart or other motorized vehicle.

Ability to work without close supervision.
( A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for minimum qualifications.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduation/diploma, or possession of GED or an acceptable equivalency.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Florida Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
ESSENTIAL PYSICAL SKILLS:

Acceptable eyesight (with or without corrections).

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).

Walking, bending, running, standing and stooping.

Moderate (15-44 pounds) lifting and carrying.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL & TESTING:
After an offer of employment has been made, the successful candidate must submit to and pass a drug test as a condition of employment. In addition, the candidate must also submit to a physical examination that is designed around the performance criteria of this position.
