POSITION OVERVIEW Republic Manufacturing is seeking an Assembler. The Assembler performs a wide range of skilled repair/assembly. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of pumps in a workshop setting. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of pump mechanics, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and must produce quality products in timely manner; performs operations according to customer's needs, following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Day to day functions):
- Plans, Rebuilds and Assemble unique large manufacturing equipment from component parts, in accordance with standard operating procedures to customer’s specifications
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions.
· Diagnose, repair, and service various types of pumps, including centrifugal, oil flooded vacuum pumps, carbon vane vacuum pumps, and positive displacement.
· Disassemble pumps and examine parts for defects or excessive wear.
· Replace or repair faulty parts, reassemble pumps, and test them for proper functionality.
· Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical information in an understandable manner and addressing any concerns or questions to internal customers
· Collaborate closely with the production planning team to provide timely updates and feedback regarding the status of repairs and expected completion times.
- Assembly of large industrial equipment with unique requirements from job to job.
- Use of hand tools, magnetic drill, grinder and air tools to assemble product.
- Determining necessary tooling to be used for each work order and set-up if required.
- Use of precision measurement devices such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, etc.
- Operating a fork truck and all overhead cranes.
- Entering work order information through terminals in the shop.
- Following safety guidelines for safe operation of all equipment.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Requires a high school diploma and/or related experience or comparable abilities.
· 2 years experience as a mechanic, technician, or similar role with transferrable experience
· Basic pneumatic/hydraulic systems knowledge.
· Pump repair technician experience is a plus
· Must work well in a fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements and priorities
· Attention to detail and committed to managing problems through resolution
· Good mechanical/electrical aptitude.
· Must be efficient in the use of hand tools such as drills, precision measuring equipment, electrical meters, etc.
· Must be dependable, reliable, hardworking and good attendance is a must.
· Ability to read and understand blueprints of mechanical assemblies.
· Ability to read and understand electrical schematic
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.
· Work independently and still function as a team player.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend, pull, and twist. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
This position is performed in a non-climate-controlled temperature environment. Incumbent in this role will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule to achieve objectives.
