Johnsons Hearing Aid Center, Inc. is looking for an outstanding Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. As this position is the first point of contact our clients, or potential clients, see or hear, we are looking for someone who will warmly and enthusiastically welcome clients and guests who visit us.
We need a dedicated individual to handle client-facing duties as well as general office management tasks. As most of our clientele are elderly, we want them to find a warm, friendly, and smiling face when they come into our office. In addition, you should be a compassionate, patient individual with the ability to speak slowly and clearly. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
We are looking for someone with a pleasant personality, exceptional customer service skills, and a professional phone manner. Ultimately, the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes our clients and guests positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer phone calls; make, reschedule appointments as necessary
- Make outgoing phone calls daily (using our own database – no cold calling) to bring clients in
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries, including UPS and FedEx
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing
- Insurance verification and billing
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures) readily available
What we are looking for:
- Exceptional customer service skills with an attitude of always going ‘above and beyond’
- The ability to speak slowly and clearly on the telephone and in person
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Someone proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; you don’t have to be an expert, but should have good working knowledge
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Starting salary negotiable. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
