Title: Flatbed and Colex Operator
Reports to: Senior Creative / Production Manager Department: Production
Job Summary:
A Flatbed Print and Colex Operator is responsible for operating cutting-edge Flatbed Print and cutting equipment used in the production of large-scale graphics and other visual communications materials. The primary role of this position is to ensure the precision and quality of the Flatbed printing and cutting processes, resulting in high-quality, visually appealing, and accurate final products.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Swiss Q Flatbed printer and Colex cutter to produce high quality final products on a wide range of materials.
- Collaborate with other production team members to understand project requirements, ensure accurate printing and cutting specifications, and maintain project timelines.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
- Identify and address any issues or inconsistencies in the printing and cutting processes to maintain a high level of quality.
- Monitor printing and cutting quality throughout the production process and adjust as necessary to maintain consistency.
- Load, unload, and handle various materials and substrates safely and efficiently, adhering to proper storage and disposal procedures.
- Assist in the routine maintenance on the flatbed printer and colex cutter to ensure optimal performance, longevity and minimize downtime.
- Work collaboratively with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes.
- Communicate effectively providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor job board regularly to make sure you’re aware and planning for orders that will be coming to you
- Assemble large format graphics using various techniques
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of building and production common areas
- Perform other job related duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or training in graphic arts, print technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in large format printing or a related field, demonstrating proficiency in operating printing equipment and ensuring high-quality results.
- Strong understanding of various materials, substrates, and their appropriate uses in large format graphic applications.
- Proficiency in using printer software.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as theyarise.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaborativelyin a team environment.Skills:

Pay: $33,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
