Fisher Arnold, a multi-disciplinary firm and regional leader in professional environmental services, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Compliance Specialist and Environmental Geologist. This position offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic professional to contribute to the growth and development of our rapidly expanding department of environmental experts. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, including air quality monitoring, noise surveys, and exposure assessments for various contaminants.
- Develop and implement effective occupational health and safety programs and compliance strategies.
- Perform environmental geological investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, hydrogeologic studies, remediation oversight, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site characterization, stormwater, and SPCC reports, and lead-based paint projects.
- Support industrial air permitting and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Analyze data, provide project documentation, and prepare annual waste reporting and client support in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide consultation and advice to clients on environmental and occupational health matters, including air quality management.
- Collaborate with clients, potential clients, and cross-functional teams on complex projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, technologies, and regulations in industrial hygiene, environmental geology, and air quality management.
- Some travel is required to support environmental projects in the Southeast US.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Geology, of a closely related field.
- Certification as a Professional Geologist (PG) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial compliance work and environmental geology, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technical tools.
