Valid licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CADC, LCADC) required.

Responsibilities: - Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients struggling with substance abuse - Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans - Develop and implement treatment goals and interventions based on client needs - Offer crisis intervention services to clients in immediate need of support - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for clients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation - Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of substance abuse counseling Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field - Familiarity with behavioral health principles and practices - Proficiency in coding systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 for accurate documentation and billing purposes - Experience in child and family counseling is preferred but not required - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
