Founded in 2011, Meridian School is a public, tuition-free charter school open to all students living in Williamson County. Primary Purpose
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification
● Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
● Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
● Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills
● Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
● General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
● Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
● Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience
● At least one year student teaching or approved internship
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will operate in a professional, non-smoking office environment, which at times can be a busy with moderate noise and many unscheduled interruptions. This role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers and peripherals, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
