Job Summary:
NMSU Foundation is seeking dynamic and motivated student employees to join our Event Staff. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of various events, including donor events, alumni gatherings, and employee functions. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, customer service, and team collaboration while contributing to the success of the NMSU Foundation's mission.
Essential Functions:
Event Preparation:
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event venues.
- Arrange and organize event materials, signage, and promotional items.
Guest Services:
- Greet and assist event attendees in a professional and friendly manner.
- Address attendee inquiries and concerns with a positive and helpful attitude.
Logistics Support:
- Collaborate with the Event Coordinator to execute event logistics.
Event Execution:
- Work closely with event organizers to facilitate the flow of the event.
- Monitor and manage event spaces.
- Assist in managing event timelines and activities as directed.
Post-Event Activities:
- Aid in post-event cleanup and organization.
Requirements:
Minimum Required Education, Knowledge, Experience & Certification/License:
- Currently enrolled as a student at New Mexico State University.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude.
- No previous work experience required.
