Project Manager

The ideal candidate will execute project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and delight the customer. This position will provide sound leadership qualities and strong skills in developing and overseeing work plans. The Project Manager will also prepare and present updates regularly through relevant channels (management, customers, teams, stakeholders, etc.) This position will build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance and customer satisfaction.
Typical work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, there will be times when a project will require additional or evening hours. Must possess reliable transportation.
All candidates must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, drug screening/testing, and a clean driving record.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for overseeing the efforts of all project activities and personnel assigned to work on the project
· Work closely with the SMEs in designing and developing solutions that meet the needs of the project
· Develop project management plans, project documentation, work breakdown structures, project schedules and risk management documentation
· Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, scopes, budget estimations, milestones, and implementation plans
· Coordinate and schedule personnel for all phases of project execution, including submittals, engineering, procurement, configuration, quality control, shipping, installation, programming, commissioning, testing, training, and close-out documentation
· Provide day-to-day project directions, ensuring quality standards, project tracking, and analysis of assigned aspects of project(s)
· Review and justify Accounts Payable/Receivable pertaining to project(s)
· Manage and monitor labor expenditures of all disciplines and personnel over the course of the project lifecycle, and escalate any issues that may impact profitability
· Facilitate internal kick-off meeting with all key participants
· Work directly with other members of Daly for quality control, shipping, timelines, etc.
· Function as the focal point for internal and external project communication and documentation
· Coordinate activities with contractors, construction manager, owner, and other trades, as required
· Communicate effectively through distribution of weekly status reports to all key project contacts
· Proactively manage change control and the change order process
· Generate or respond to communications including, but not limited to requests for information, change orders, room readiness, delay notifications, theft or damage to materials, tools or vehicles, safety or injury reports, material or inventory manifests, punch lists, field reports, sign-off documents, warranty information, and any other documentation as assigned or required
· Regularly inspect quality of work performed by staff and subcontractors
· Ensure all systems meet client objectives, per original design intent and scope of work
· Coordinate and/or provide training to client
· Coordinate turn-over and onboarding of project to service department when project concludes
· All other duties as assigned or directed
Qualifications and Skills:
· 3-5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager
· PMP certification a plus
· Excellent communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness
· Strong listening skills with demonstrated ability to ask effective questions, understand priorities and anticipate needs
· Proven ability to solve problems creatively
· Excellent analytical skills
· Effective executives, customers, and sub-matter experts’ briefings
· Possess excellent negotiation, facilitation, consensus-building, and diplomacy skills.
· Ability to manage tasks and resources to meet project objectives
· Excellent customer service orientation
· Ability to troubleshoot and engage subject matter experts when needed to resolve conflicts related to delays, technical challenges, or any other project related issues
· Ability to read and understand project technical documents, which may include engineering and architectural drawings, punch lists, schedules, and scopes of work
· Ability to create and maintain project schedule
· Effective time management and attention to detail
· Must be able to lead others
· Ability to adapt and accept criticism
· Strong documentation skills
· Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
· Must be self-motivated, be a team player, and have a positive attitude
