Industrial Maintenance Tech / Equipment Mechanic
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 -5 years of industrial experience required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
- Ability to read tape measure accurately
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and repair all types of industrial equipment including older CNC machines
- Must be able to read prints and electrical schematics and use all test meters and equipment, such as ohmmeters, voltage meters, oscilloscopes, ammeters and test lamps
- Assist in installation of service for new equipment for voltages ranging from 110V to 416V, single phase and three phase, DC drives, numerical controls, welding machines, and hydraulic systems
- Confer with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment, and to insure the safety of personnel
- Work with minimum supervision
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Follow all safety and health procedures issued by the company
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Work involves long periods of standing, squatting, bending, twisting and reaching, may also include climbing
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions; heat, cold, rain
- Need normal vision and hearing
- Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toed work boots and gloves
PPE REQUIREMENTS:
- Safety glasses, ear protection, steel toed boots and gloves
- Use of grinder / welding equipment requires face shield or goggles
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
