Responsibilities:
- Delegate work to the Production Coordinator or Production Lead
- Oversee training issues and job requirements.
- Report status and progress in production meetings coordinating with Planning, Purchasing, and Shipping.
- Motivate, support, and guide employees in production.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and working environment in the department.
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Main tasks
- Develop and execute a daily priority list.
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
Requirements:
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- This position requires the ability to work 1/3 of the day sitting behind a desk and performing tasks on a computer. Additional physical requirements include standing, bending, hand dexterity, seeing distinguishing colors and lifting up to 40 lbs.
