The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies at the University of Houston invites applications for a position as a part-time lecturer to teach courses in Anthropology, with a specialization in Archaeology. This is a non-tenure track position and lecturer appointments are made on a semester basis.
The Department of Comparative Cultural Studies combines degree programs in Anthropology, Liberal Studies, and Religious Studies.
The successful candidate must have at least a MA in Anthropology (PhD preferred), with a specific background in Archaeology, and should have prior teaching experience, minimally as a TA in Anthropology courses, with knowledge of archaeology at the undergraduate level. It is desirable for the applicant to demonstrate the capacity to teach ANTH 2303 - Introduction to Archaeology.
