Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing

Long Island University is looking for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing to teach graduate level courses in the Creative Writing and Publishing MFA. This is a one-year position on the LIU Brooklyn campus.
Qualifications: MFA or PhD in Creative Writing and experience teaching creative writing required.
Responsibilities: Ability to teach graduate courses in literary magazine editing and specialized fiction writing workshops as well as directing thesis projects. Experience in planning and implementing a literary festival event desirable. Interest and experience in teaching in a culturally diverse environment and engaging the local community. Willingness to promote and recruit for the program nationally and internationally.
