Bay Area Compliance Laboratories Corp. is an independent testing, consulting, certification and regulatory approvals management firm. We provide services in the areas of: Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Communications, Telecommunications, Product Safety, Lighting and Energy Efficiency.
Essential Duties for Test Technician:
- Work closely with project engineers for preparing and testing devices according to the test plans
- Understanding and following test plans
- Accurately record test data and evaluate test result data to determine pass/fail
- Setting up test equipment and performing testing independently and efficiently
- Compiling test reports
- Following schedule and completing tasks on time
- Able to commit to business travel of up to 15% per year.
Qualifications:
- Familiar on using equipment like voltmeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, antennas, coupling clamps
- Understanding of engineering/applied science concepts
- Relies on data to justify technical decisions and ability to clearly explain technical issues
- Have previous experience of success conducting tests - should also be able to process and summarize data
- Must be able to follow directions, able to understand SOPs and demonstrate understanding through speech and/or written form
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and detail oriented
- Good time management skills
- Good computer skills
- 2 year technical degree minimum (AA, AS, EET, etc.)
