Southern Foodservice Management, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and creative Cook/Prep Cook for our fast pace corporate dining facility at FBI CJIS Building in Clarksburg, WV 26306. Must be able to pass background check, this location requires a full Federal Government background check.
This position schedule is Monday through Friday, and the shift hours are 6:00am - 2:00pm, no nights, weekends or holidays. The pay rate is $13.00 per hour and benefits include 401(k), vacation pay, health, vision, life and dental insurance.
You must have the ability to work as a team player in a busy kitchen atmosphere, must have strong communication skills and be able to maintain a high level of cleanliness. You should be energetic, have knowledge of food sanitation, be able to read and follow standardized recipes, have a professional appearance, dependable transportation, teachable attitude and a strong work ethic.
You will be responsible for preparing and serving entrees, side dishes, soups and more with a focus on providing the best quality food and service every day.
Qualifications
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Must love to interact with customers.
- Basic knowledge of food and cooking techniques.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment including but not limited to fryers, ovens, grills, and dish machines.
- Basic knife and small equipment skills.
- Desire to gain culinary knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Excellent knife skills and hospitality skills.
- Food preparation and presentation, including portion control.
- Assists in the adherence to maintaining budget compliance for daily food cost and assists with end of month reporting.
- Ensures all equipment is in good working order and kept clean at all times.
Requirements
- 2 years’ lead cooking experience.
- Receiving of product.
- Be energetic and enthusiastic.
- Be customer service oriented.
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Code, Sanitation and Safety Procedures
- ServSafe certificate required.
- Full understanding of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
