As a Fiscal Assistant, you will be working to support our overall mission by providing clerical support to our fiscal department.

To be a Fiscal Assistant, you must have an Associate's degree in Accounting and at least three years of experience working with payroll, accounts payable, or accounting.
You will be entering and processing payroll, purchasing supplies, entering and processing accounts payable entries, maintaining records, and completing required reports on a regular basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's degree in Accounting
- At least 3 years experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, or similar
- Experience working with fund accounting, general ledger, and inventory control
- Able to use a computer
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Sitting, standing, lifting boxes, and viewing computer screens occur regularly
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Enters, processes, and maintains payroll records and accounts payable records; ensures the accuracy of records at all times
- Maintains records for employee leave, timesheets, and insurance deductions and ensures that supporting documentation is included with all records as necessary.
- Submits purchasing documentation and purchases supplies as necessary, and organizes supplies for distribution to programs.
- Maintains bank deposits and cash receipts records; maintains petty cash and accounts for related expenditures
- Completes multiple reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required
- Works with the Fiscal Manager and the rest of the management team to ensure that federal regulations are met; assist with grant applications as requested.
