Turning Point School seeks a Elementary Assistant Teacher for 2024-2025 to foster students’ intellectual, social-emotional, and ethical growth. A full-time member of the Elementary Faculty, this role will work alongside a faculty committed to innovating their teaching practices and will report to the Elementary Division Head.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in a supporting capacity to the Head Teacher
- Deliver instruction as experience permits and is determined with the instructional team
- Develop best practice, and implement long and short-range plans for differentiated classroom instruction
- Thorough and thoughtful work with individual students and small groups
- Follow the Head Teacher’s lead in facilitating the social, emotional, and academic development of students
- Play an integral role in preparing an indoor learning environment and supervising an outdoor learning environment in line with our whole child instructional philosophy
- Attend weekly faculty meetings
- Participate in professional development
- Perform other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree preferred
- Experience in or familiarity with independent schools preferred

Normal hours for the position are Monday through Friday, 7:45 am - 3:45 pm.
