Under the supervision and guidance of the ROP and school site administration, plan and implement learning activities which enable high school students to develop knowledge and skills needed for employment or advance training in Medical Careers and Emergency Medicine.
Must have 3 years of industry experience in Emergency Medicine and medical careers, full or part time, paid or unpaid. Must have a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching credential in related subject OR qualify to obtain a credential. We can help you with the process to obtain a credential while you teach.Teaching Position: Full-time M-F, high school classes, 8:30am - 3pm.
Curriculum Knowledge: Emergency Medicine: Anatomy, body mechanics, patient assessment, EMS operations, emergencies: medical/trauma/respiratory/mental health/pediatric among others, hazardous materials. Medical Core: Advanced knowledge of health care systems, legal and ethical responsibilities, medical terminology, human growth and development, cultural diversity, medical math, safety, infection control, vital signs, and CPR/First Aid.
