Forge Industrial Staffing in Fort Wayne is currently seeking a Plant Manager for an opening with a Manufacturing Company located in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate must have previous experience as an operations supervisor or similar role, with hands-on experience in creating, implementing, and managing operational processes.
Requirements of Plant Manager:
- Previous experience as an operations supervisor or similar role
- Hands-on experience in creating, implementing, and managing operational processes
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of operational principles and policies
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders
- Certified in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, demonstrating proficiency in process improvement and quality management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in producing goods for law enforcement or similar sectors
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams to achieve operational excellence
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Benefits of Plant Manager:
- Salary: $70,000 - $120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities of Plant Manager:
- Monday-Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Oversee operational efficiency: Monitor and enhance the efficiency of all operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to optimize workflow.
- Implement quality control procedures: Develop and enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality goods, conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain standards.
- Strategic planning and goal-setting: Participate in the development of strategic plans and set achievable goals for the department, align departmental objectives with the overall mission of the company.
- Analyze business requirements and customer needs: Gather and analyze data to understand business requirements and customer expectations, develop strategies to meet these needs effectively.
- Research and innovation: Investigate and implement methods to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs, stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Performance monitoring and reporting: Monitor departmental performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
- Team supervision and training: Supervise, train, and mentor factory workers and other staff members, foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Administrative support: Provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth operations, handle documentation and reporting related to operational processes.
