Requirements: To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Current NY State License.
- Minimum of a Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN)
- 3+ years of prior acute care hospital experience in an ICU setting
- Basic knowledge of management skills.
- Previous management/leadership experience (Coordinator, Charge RN, Educator, Lead RN, Preceptor, Supervisor, etc.)

Responsibilities: As the RN Unit Leader in the Cardiothoracic ICU, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the Nurse Manager and Asst. Nurse Manager to ensure adherence to performance standards, policies, and behaviors.
- Serving as a positive role model and providing coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving for staff on all shifts.
- Leading unit-based quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participating clinically in patient care and accepting patient care assignments as required.
- Ensuring staff participation in continuing education activities, nursing shared governance, and organizational-required competencies.
- Being a positive change agent on the unit and supporting organizational initiatives and projects.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
