Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Associate Coordinator (Part time)

Location: Sundale School Campus & Legacy Center, Villa Community, Tulare County, CA
Position Overview: The ELOP Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program at the Legacy Center. This role is part-time, requiring approximately 20 hours per wee. The Associate Coordinator will ensure the program meets its objective of providing enriching after-school activities that promote the physical, emotional, and academic growth of students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Implementation:
- -plan and coordinate after-school activities in alignment with the foundation's goals
- Develop curriculum and materials for various programs, ensuring they are engaging and educational
- Ensure that the curriculum involves homework help, structured physical activites, and STEAM projects
2. Staff Management:
- Supervise part-time staff, volunteers, and subcontractors involved in the ELOP.
- Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for program staff.
3. Student Engagement:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all students.
- Monitor student participation and progress, addressing any issues that arise.
- Build relationships with students and their families to encourage consistent participation and engagement
4. Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance, activities, and outcomes.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on program performance to the Executive Director.
- Manage the program budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.
5. Community Outreach:
- Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and community members to enhance program offerings and community involvement.
- Promote the ELOP through various channels to increase awareness and participation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- Experience working in after-school programs or youth development
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Passion for working with Children and contributing to their growth and development
Working Conditions:
- Part-time position (approx. 20 hours per week)
- Average work week will be from 1:00-5:00 pm Monday-Friday
- Work mostly at the Legacy Center with Occasional hours on Sundale Elementary Campus
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
